World's Best Rum Cake
Rum Butter Cake
Ingredients
- 1 box of yellow cake mix (18.5 oz)
- 1 package of instant vanilla pudding
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup of cold water
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 1/2 cup of rum (dark)
Steps
- Set aside a bundt pan.
- Grease and flour pan. (PAM Baking spray works well)
- Combine all ingredients in stand mixer.
- Mix well until all is combined smoothly.
- Pour batter evenly into bundt pan.
- Bake @ 325 degrees for 1 hour.
- Remove from oven.
- Let stand and cool for at least 15 minutes.
- Flip over on plate.
Rum Butter Glaze
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup of butter
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of rum (dark)
Steps
- Melt butter in a small pot.
- Add sugar and water.
- Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Take off heat.
- Add rum to pot. Mix.
- Poke holes in cake.
- Pour glaze over cake.
- Scoop up excess and continue to pour over cake.
