World's Best Rum Cake
Rum Butter Cake
Ingredients
1 box of yellow cake mix (18.5 oz)
1 package of instant vanilla pudding
4 eggs
1/2 cup of cold water
1/2 cup of oil
1/2 cup of rum (dark)
Steps
Set aside a bundt pan.
Grease and flour pan. (PAM Baking spray works well)
Combine all ingredients in stand mixer.
Mix well until all is combined smoothly.
Pour batter evenly into bundt pan.
Bake @ 325 degrees for 1 hour.
Remove from oven.
Let stand and cool for at least 15 minutes.
Flip over on plate.
Rum Butter Glaze
Ingredients
1/4 cup of butter
1/4 cup of water
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of rum (dark)
Steps
Melt butter in a small pot.
Add sugar and water.
Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Take off heat.
Add rum to pot. Mix.
Poke holes in cake.
Pour glaze over cake.
Scoop up excess and continue to pour over cake.
Rum cake ingredients mixed and in bundt pan.
Fully baked, still in pan.
